Driver Smashes Into South Jersey Home on Christmas, Dies

A 29-year-old South Jersey man died after crashing his car into a utility pole and then striking a house on Christmas.

Pennsville police Chief Allen Cummings told NJ.com that Steven McGraw died in the crash around 1 a.m. Friday.

Cummings said it was extremely foggy and the road was wet when McGraw's Volkswagen ran off the road and hit a pole, before striking the home along S Broadway in Pennsville.

The force of the car hitting the house knocked a clothing closet onto a man sleeping inside and left him with cuts on his face and bruises.

The crash remained under investigation Friday.
