2 Pedestrians Killed in Roosevelt Boulevard Crash

A car struck two pedestrians, killing the pair after they darted into traffic on Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia Saturday morning.

A man and a woman ran into the northbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard near Borbeck Avenue just before 6 a.m. and were hit by a blue 1998 Honda Accord, authorities said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics rushed the woman to Aria-Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7 a.m.

Police have yet to identify the victims.
