A female pedestrian was seriously hurt after she was hit by a car Thursday night in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police tell NBC10 the woman was struck by a late model BMW while crossing the northbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard near Cottman Avenue. The driver of the car remained on the scene.
The victim was taken to Aria Hospital Torresdale Campus, with severe head trauma, a broken neck and collapsed lungs.
A portion of both roads are closed while police investigate the accident.
