Parents of Teen Murder Victims Charged

The parents of two teens shot inside a Overbrook Park home are now facing drug charges.

The parents of two brothers, 13 and 17-years-old, found shot inside a home Tuesday night in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia are now facing narcotics charges, according to Philadelphia Police.

Investigators said early on they believed the shooting could be drug related. $102,000 in cash, six guns and 17-hundred prescription pills were discovered inside the home along the 1300 block of Westbury Drive, according to police.

Rohan Bennett, 13, was found dead inside the home. He had been shot in the chest several times.  His older brother Christopher Malcolm, 17, was shot in the head and chest. He died at hospital.

Police tell NBC10 an unidentified man was let into their house around 7:30 and met with the teens in the living room.

"Something at that point triggered a chain of events, where he pulled out a gun, shot and killed the 17-year old in the living room. He then shot the 13-year old as he went to run away" said Captain James Clark.

Police say they have a person of interest in the shooting, but investigators aren't releasing the person's name.
