Paramedic Exposes Himself, Assaults 911 Caller: Police

A western Pennsylvania paramedic has been charged with indecent assault and indecent exposure for allegedly assaulting a woman who had called 911 when her boyfriend had an anxiety attack.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 28-year-old Anthony Barnes, of New Brighton.

The Beaver County Times reports Barnes was charged Saturday night after he allegedly exposed himself to the woman and placed her hand on his genitals after having her enter an ambulance so he could take information about the call from her. Police say Barnes also pushed the woman onto a gurney and fondled her.

Police say Barnes acknowledged some of the alleged behavior but says he couldn't recall the rest. Barnes reportedly told police he perceived the woman had made sexual advances toward him.

He faces a preliminary hearing Feb. 24.
