An odor from a package sent to a medical office building in Allentown sickened several workers.
Emergency crews and a hazardous materials team responded to the Lehigh Valley Health Network building near Allentown on Friday morning.
Health network spokesman Brian Downs says the suite to which the package was delivered was evacuated, but not the rest of the building.
Several people who reported feeling ill were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Downs says investigators later determined the package contained a nonhazardous irritant.
South Whitehall Township police say it came from a medical company that conducts frequent business with the office.
