Pa. Crews Unable to Resume Missing Tuber Search

Rescue officials say they haven't been able to resume searching for a man missing since he went tubing down the Delaware River in suburban Philadelphia over the weekend.

Scott Fleisher, chief of the Point Pleasant Fire Co., told The (Doylestown) Intelligencer that river conditions prevented divers from entering the water Monday.

He said the river has "near-zero visibility, a strong current and many snags and obstructions for divers.''

Fleisher said the search could resume later in the week if conditions improve.

Police in Bucks County say 30-year-old Anthony Del Prete of Herndon, Va., was with a group of other people Saturday when he slipped off the tube and disappeared in Tinicum Township.
