A Penn State student arrested during rioting the night iconic football coach Joe Paterno was fired is suing State College police, saying he was roughed up and wrongly charged.

Police Chief Tom King tells the Centre Daily Times he can't comment because the borough has yet to be served with the federal lawsuit filed Friday in Williamsport by Matthew Maser.
Maser, a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, claims he dispersed as ordered by police but was grabbed, arrested and accused of not heeding police orders on Nov. 10, 2011. Charges of failure to disperse and disorderly conduct were dismissed and Maser's arrest record was expunged.
Maser contends the officers weren't properly trained and picked on him because he was wearing Pi Kappa Phi, which he claims one officer had called a "problem'' fraternity.
