Victims of a home invasion were tied up and beaten, Philadelphia police said. One of the victims, a 50-year-old man, had bleach poured on him.
Authorities said the break-in happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at 6318 Summerdale Avenue, in Northeast Philadelphia. According to police, two men with a gun forced their way into the residence. Inside, they encountered a 31-year-old female resident of the house. The woman was beaten and tied up.
While this was happening, another resident of the house came home. That man, 50, was beaten, burned, tied up, and then had bleach poured on him.
Police are not certain what items, if any, were taken in the home invasion.
Both victims were transported for medical care, and both were reported to be in stable condition on Saturday. No arrests have been made in the case.
