Two Men Shot, Crash Car in Camden

One man is dead and another badly injured after a shooting on Saturday in Camden.

Police said that two Arizona men were in a car near 26th Street and Mitchell when the shooting occurred.  Camden County prosecutor Warren W. Faulk said that an unknown gunman opened fire on the two men, who were from Arizona.  Juan Cochran Mendoza, 39, died in the shooting.

The second man, whose name has not been released, was struck in the face by a bullet.  When the shooting started, the car continued moving through the roadway, but then crashed into a fence on 25th Street.  The man jumped out of the car after the crash and ran, but collapsed in the street.  He was transported to Cooper Hospital.
