Half A Dozen Shooting Incidents Overnight

Bullets flew early Sunday morning across Philadelphia, in 6 separate incidents.

At 12:30 a.m., homicide detectives investigated a murder on the 2600 block of Jackson Street, near the Tasker Home housing development.  Police said the victim was a 47-year-old man.  He had been shot four times.

Fifteen minutes later, a gunman killed one and injured four others at the Genesis Bar on Roberts Avenue and Wayne, in the Germantown section.  Police said the man had been asked to leave the bar for smoking a cigarette inside.

At 1:45 p.m., a 27-year-old was shot at North Marvine Street, close to Temple University Hospital.  That victim was in stable condition Sunday morning.

In North Philadelphia West, at 2512 Ridge Avenue, another man was shot, at 2:30 a.m.  That victim also survived.

A man is in critical condition at Hahnemann University Hospital after being shot in the head.  The incident happened at 2400 Harlan Street in the Brewerytown neighborhood, at 3:45 a.m.

As the sun came up, another shooting happened in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, at West Susquehanna and North Natrona Street.  A 28-year-old man was shot in the back of the neck while sitting in a car, but survived.  Police said he was treated for a graze wound.  A 26-year-old woman who was sitting in the car was also treated, after hitting her head on the dashboard.

No arrests were made yet in connection with the incident.
