Four-Alarm Fire Burns in Chester County

Numerous fire companies worked to contain a fire in North Coventry on Saturday afternoon.

The fire happened at a multi-story apartment building at 604 West Schuylkill Road.

The fire, which may have started on the third floor, went to four alarms before firefighters finally brought it under control. No injuries have been reported yet.

Twenty-two units have been affected and 31 people are displaced, according to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Red Cross.

While most of the families have a place to stay, the Red Cross plans to put the families without a home at a local motel for a minimum of three days.

The Red Cross will also provide money for food and clothing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
