A PATCO station in New Jersey has been shut down after an overnight fire.
The City Hall Station in Camden remains closed today after an incident at 2:15 a.m. Saturday. A mechanical problem on an eastbound train sparked a fire, causing the train to stop and interrupting cross-Delaware service.
Passengers had to be evacuated from the train. The train operator and 3 passengers were sent to Cooper University hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
Service across the river was restored by mid-morning Saturday, but the City Hall Station remains closed for track repair. Riders are advised to use Broadway Station in Camden as an alternative.
