A car fire claimed the life of a Delaware County man Saturday morning.
The incident happened on the 100 block of Shisler Avenue in Aldan, Pa. at 3:15 a.m.
Brian Smith, 30, of Aldan, was driving his car when he crashed into the side of the Aldan recreational building, causing his vehicle to catch fire.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:20 a.m. Investigators say that Smith died of soot and smoke inhalation as well as extensive thermal burns. His death has been ruled an accident.
