PHA's Six-Figure Settlement with Greene

The former executive director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority was suing for wrongful termination

Carl R. Greene, former executive director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority, is getting a six-figure settlement after suing the PHA for wrongful termination.

Greene was fired in September of 2010. The PHA board said Greene used about $900,000 in public money to settle a series of sexual harassment allegations against him. He is also accused of coercing top employees to pay into a slush fund.

PHA spokeswoman Nancy Loi says the housing authority decided it was best to end the trial with a settlement of $625,000.

Greene was suing for $4 million dollars.
