    Philadelphia Home-Care Company Shuts Down; 1,300 Jobs Eliminated

    Alleged the company 'hired' patients’ family members to provide care and cover shifts when the company could not.

    Infinite Care, a Philadelphia home-care company that was charged with Medicaid fraud last month, has informed the state it has ceased operations in a move that cost 1,324 employees their jobs.

    The Northeast Philadelphia company, based on Rising Sun Avenue, filed a notice with the state Department of Labor and Industry stating the company had closed effective Feb. 28.

    Efforts to reach company officials were unsuccessful. The filing did not make it clear where the jobs were based or whether the jobs were full- or part-time positions.
