Police Look Into Sexting Allegations at Chester County High School

Pennsylvania State Police investigated after nude text messages allegedly circulated among Chester County high school students.

Administrators at Owen J. Roberts High School first became aware of the sexting on March 20, said Superintendent Michael Christian.

It appeared the images were created outside the school on Ridge Road in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, said Christian.

After talking to students and parents, administrators called in state police to investigate. As part of the investigation, police confiscated several students’ phones. It wasn't clear if police would charge anyone in the case.

Christian said he hoped parents used this instance as an opportunity to talk to their children about the dangers of sexting.

"We try to stress to kids that this is the world we live in now and this kind of behavior is unacceptable," said Christian.
