Operation ‘Roid Runner

State agents busted 10 people accused of making and distributing steroids in Pennsylvania.

The two-year investigation was dubbed "Operation Roid Runner."

Attorney General Tom Corbett says the ring brought more than $170,000 worth of steroids from China, Panama and Mexico.

The ring covered Lehigh, Northampton, Dauphin and Cumberland counties according to the AG.

Corbett says most of the proceeds were used to cover expenses for body-building competitions.

According to the grand jury, the defendants were dealing in pill and liquid form.

Two of the accused, personal trainers Eric and Stacy Garonzik, allegedly injected clients with liquid steroids in the office of their gym.

"We need to do ever5ything we can to make sure that the public, especially young men, are aware of the dangers of using steroids, and we need to take those who distribute this poison off our streets," Corbett said.

Court documents say that the sales took place between 2007 and April of this year.

The defendants face an array of drug charges.

They were arraigned Tuesday in front of a district judge and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
