Van Hits Car During Police Pursuit

PHILADELPHIA - A van that was being pursued by police hit another car Wednesday November 5 at 16th and Callowhill St., according to the Philadelphia Police department.

After striking the other vehicle, two people inside the van hopped out and tried to make a run for it, but had no luck. Both suspects are in police custody and have not been officially charged yet.

The woman inside the other car that was hit was taken to Hahnemann hospital because of injuries.

Robbery Results in Stabbing at Delaware Gas Station

MILLTOWN - A 21-year-old man was stabbed while holding down the fort at Valero Gas Station in the Milltown Shopping Center Tuesday night, according to Delaware Police.

A white male tried to rob the victim, but the victim wouldn’t cooperate. So, the suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed the victim in the chest and then ran from the scene empty handed.

The victim is in stable condition at Christiana Hospital.

Man Found Stabbed to Death in His Apartment

MAYS LANDING - Ventnor Police got a call asking them to do a well-being check at 47-year-old Steven Wingard’s apartment early Monday evening, so they went.

And, what they found was Wingard’s lifeless body on the living room floor of his apartment with multiple stab wounds to his neck, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Hit and Run Now Hit and Found

SOUTHAMPTON - Christopher James Strouse, 24, was captured and charged Wednesday, November 4 with hitting two 15 year old girls, killing one and injuring the other, then running from the seen, according to Upper Southampton Police.

The hit and run accident happened Tuesday, November 3.

Strouse hit the two girls from behind with a 1994 Ford Explorer (also taken into police custody) as they were walking south on Maple Ave.

He was charged with Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury, Duty to Give Information and Render Aid and Immediate Notice of Accident to Police. His bail is set at $1,000,000.00.

Possible Purse Snatcher Stabs Woman

TRENTON - A white female, 50, was stabbed early morning Wednesday outside the 900 block of South Broad St. in what Trenton police are calling an “armed robbery-stabbing.”

The suspect is an unidentified African American woman who tried stealing the victim’s purse and, in the midst of it all, the victim was stabbed in her right abdomen, as determined by Trenton police in a preliminary investigation.

The victim was transported to Capital Health System at Fuld and is considered to be in critical condition.

Berks County Bank Robbed

BERNVILLE - National Penn Bank in Berks County was robbed Wednesday November 5 at 2:43 pm and the robber is still on the loose.

Pennsylvania State Police have released a description of the man who was last seen wearing Blue Jeans, a dark shirt with an olive green jacket that has a patch on the right sleeve, a dark baseball hat with ROCA on the front and black shoes.

• Light skinned Hispanic or white male
• Mid 20’s
• Around 5’5 or 5’6
• About 150 lbs.

Bank Robbers Hit Cop Car During Escape

WOODBURY - An officer was injured Wednesday after responding to a call about a bank robbery at the bank of Gloucester County.

The robbers were trying to escape on wheels and hit the cop car, which was coming in the opposite direction, head on in the process.

Although the cop was bleeding, his/her injuries don’t seem to be life threatening.

Deptford Township Police are still searching for the driver; the passenger is in custody.
