A gunman opened fire overnight leaving a woman hospitalized on Labor Day.
Gunshots rang out around 3:55 a.m. Monday along 5th Street near the Roosevelt Boulevard (U.S. Route 1) in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood.
A bullet struck an unidentified woman in the thigh. Police rushed her to Einstein Hospital in stable condition.
Philadelphia Police blocked off 5th Street between Rockland sTreet and the Boulevard as they investigated.
No immediate word on a suspect in the case.
