Police arrested a Darby Police Officer for allegedly stealing police weapons.

Last Saturday a Darby Township Police officer reported that his DPMS rifle worth $2,000 was stolen from his locker. A short time later officers also reported that a Bushmaster Rifle, also worth $2,000, had been stolen from the Darby Township Police Department.

Police interviewed Darby Township Police officer Jonathan Fiscaro on Tuesday. Fiscaro allegedly admitted to stealing the DPMS rifle back in January of 2011, taking it to his home and selling it on February 24 of this year for $500. Fiscaro also allegedly admitted to stealing the Bushmaster rifle in the Fall of 2011 and selling it for $600.

Police also say Fiscaro provided an audio recorded statement falsely implicating another person in the theft of the two weapons.
