An out-of-control pickup truck lost its tire, then smashed into parked cars before coming to a stop overnight, and police want to talk to the driver.
But the driver was nowhere to be found after the dark pickup struck a median near N. Broad and Dauphin Streets in North Philadelphia around 1 a.m. Thursday.
According to Philadelphia Police, the black pickup was speeding northbound on Broad Street when the driver struck the concrete, lost a tire and careened into a parked sedan before stopping the truck.
Police say the unidentified driver then jumped out of the truck and ran off.
Investigators didn't report any injuries. Both the truck and the sedan each had obvious side-impact damage and debris littered the roadway after the wreck.
