Parents, Community Discuss ‘No Gay Thursday' Hazing Claims at Conestoga High

Parents and community members have met to discuss alleged hazing that has prompted a suburban Philadelphia high school football coach to resign.

The meeting concerned criminal charges against three 17-year-old senior football players who allegedly sexually assaulted a freshman with a broom handle on what the Conestoga High School team called "No Gay Thursday."

News cameras weren't allowed in Monday night's meeting, but some parents who attended told reporters this kind of meeting should have been held before the coach resigned.

Some parents are concerned and say they want to make sure nothing like this happens again, while others believe the incident was either exaggerated or a hoax.

Prosecutors have said there's no evidence coaches knew about the hazing, but school district officials say the locker rooms weren't properly supervised.
