New Trial Date Set in Elder Abuse Case

A new trial date has been selected for three women charged with abusing an elderly dementia patient in a Haverford nursing home in March, reports the Delaware County Daily Times.

Ayesha Muhammad, Tynia Griffin and Samirah Traynham were working at the Quadrangle Assisted Living Facility when they were videotaped mocking, kicking and punching the 78-year-old patient..

The woman’s family set up a hidden camera after she complained of abuse.

A Delaware County judge set a new trial date for the trio in court this week. The trial is set to begin on November 14, according to the Delco Times.

All three women have pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include endangerment and false imprisonment.
