8 New Jersey Schools Locked Down After Prisoner Escapes

Eight schools in a New Jersey district were placed on lockdown Wednesday after a drug suspect allegedly escaped the police custody.

No one was let in or out of the schools in Monroe Township for about two hours Wednesday afternoon while police searched for 19-year-old Naser Zucker, who had allegedly escaped from the Jamesburg police station.

School officials said that no students were in danger during the escape and that the lockdowns were in place as a precaution.

Zucker was tracked down two hours after his escape and is being held under $150,000 bail. He is charged with escape and drug charges.

It's not clear if he has an attorney.

It's not clear on how the prisoner escaped.
