New Jersey Murder Suspect Caught in Upstate New York

A 32-year-old man wanted for murder in New Jersey has been found in upstate New York.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's office says Mikey Miguel Williams was found Wednesday afternoon in a Poughkeepsie home. Deputies say Williams had a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun with seven live rounds at the time of his arrest.

Police say the handgun was reported stolen in Virginia in November 2014.

Williams, who is accused of murder and attempted murder in Newark, New Jersey in February, was arraigned on a charge of criminal possession of a weapon and remanded to the county jail without bail. He's due back in county court Thursday for an arraignment on a fugitive from justice charge.

Williams is being represented by the public defender, who could not be reached for comment.
