New Jersey Man Confesses to Supplying Drugs Leading to Deadly Overdose

A New Jersey man has admitted to supplying the drugs that led to the overdose death of a 31-year-old man.

NJ.com reports 34-year-old Blaine Holley pleaded guilty to strict liability for drug-induced death Monday.

Prosecutors say Holley provided cocaine and heroin to Eric Dector September 19. Authorities say later that day, Dector was found dead of a drug overdose at a hotel in Hanover.

Holley was arrested June 2.

Morris County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Troiano says Holley faces other unspecified charges in Bergen and Essex counties.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 12. Holley faces up to eight years in prison.
