New Castle County police say a 17-year-old murder suspect turned himself into police headquarters Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting in Newark.
Shakoor Daye was charged with murder in the first degree after police linked him to a fatal shooting of Kalil Ames in the Village of Kent Apartments on October 19.
Police say Daye engaged in a verbal altercation with Ames that eventually led to the shooting.
Police said the two were friends.
