Nemours Children’s Health System, continuing to expand its reach in the Philadelphia region, has formed a partnership with Pottstown Memorial Medical Center to bring advanced pediatric care to western Montgomery County.
Under the collaboration, Nemours pediatric hospitalists — doctors who specialize in inpatient care — will work with the Pottstown Memorial staff on the hospital’s inpatient pediatrics floor, provide consults in emergency department, and attend high-risk deliveries.
Additional consultative services may be provided remotely via telemedicine by critical care physicians at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware.
Potttstown Memorial staff will also to Nemours Kids Transport, an emergency transport system designed to safely transport children to duPont Hospital for Children should the advanced pediatric services be required.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
