A Feltonville man allegedly shot his neighbors over a parking spot, but not before those neighbors shot at his minivan.
Police tell NBC Philadelphia that residents of 4500 block of Hurley Street in Feltonville parked their minivan in front of a neighbor’s home around 7 p.m. Monday night. Those neighbor’s didn’t appreciate the spot in front of their home being occupied by the van and opened fire, shooting the vehicle three times.
Witnesses and neighbors say that the van had a flat tire and was parked in front of the house for three weeks.
No one was injured in the initial shooting.
Around 11:30 p.m., the owners of the van returned to the neighbor’s home with a shotgun and shot two people -- a 36-year-old woman and 20-year-old man.
Both victims were rushed to Temple University Hospital. The woman, police tell NBC Philadelphia’s Katy Zachry, was in very critical condition. The man was listed as stable.
On Tuesday police arrested alleged shooter 44-year-old Raymond Howard. He is charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and firearms violations.
