Woman Dragged During Neighborhood Dispute

An Atlantic county woman is hospitalized after being dragged by a pickup truck

A woman was dragged and run over by a pickup truck, and police say her neighbor was behind the wheel.

The entire incident was caught on surveillance video from the victim's home on the 4000 block of E Adams Circle in Mullica Township, N.J. around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The violent incident was the result of an on-going dispute between neighbors, according to Mullica Township Police.

"I moved here out of Philadelphia to try and get away from all this stuff. I can't believe something like this can happen," said Mark Englehardt, husband of victim Kristy Englehardt.

Mark Englehardt says his 4-year-old daughter was only a few feet away from his wife when his neighbor, Julio Torres, backed his truck down the street.

On the video, you can see the Kristy Englehardt open up the passenger side door of the truck. Police say she was dragged down the street and run over by the rear tires after letting go of the door.

She is being treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

"I pray to God that she's OK," said Englehardt.

Torres left the scene, but police say he called them soon after. He is facing charges of aggravated assault by automobile, aggravated assault and leaving the scene with an injured victim.

Torres was held on $100,000 bail.
