A Phoenixville man on vacation in the Florida Keys declared himself “king of the world” while running naked into traffic early Sunday, police say.
Forty-three-year-old Richard Gervasi was arrested in Big Coppitt Key on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest after police received reports of the Pennsylvania man allegedly running into traffic on U.S. route 1 repeatedly, while nude, reports KeysNet.com.
Police say Gervasi, who lives on Veronica Lane in Phoenixville, was on LSD and drinking with two friends at about 1:30 a.m. when he nakedly declared himself “made of steel” and “king of the world,” police said.
Police say Gervasi attacked one of his friends and ran at a police deputy. He was tased three times before police were able to handcuff him. One of the times he was tased, he pulled the prongs out of his skin and kept walking, according to police.

Gervasi was taken to Lower Keys Medical Center for evaluation before being brought to jail.
