“Naked Burglar” Pleads Guilty

School district employee could face up to seven years in prison

The  naked man who was caught on tape breaking into two Abington Township homes and stealing women’s underwear in late July pleaded guilty to burglary and indecent exposure charges. He could face seven years in prison.

Fifty-two-year-old Michael Victor, who was a Philadelphia School District employee at the time of the burglaries, was caught on a security camera entering a woman’s apartment clothed and leaving it completely naked July 31.

Victor later confessed to burglarizing two apartments where he stripped naked, rifled through women’s underwear, stole a laptop and clothing, and wrote explicit messages in lipstick on mirrors and walls.

Victor later told police he was drinking and didn't realize he was naked until he broke into the first home. He said he didn’t remember writing the explicit messages, authorities said.

"He's upset and he's embarrassed," the man's attorney Michael Dunn told reporters after his confession Aug. 4. "It's obvious that he has some severe issues to deal with and he's in the process of dealing with those now."

Victor pleaded guilty to charges of burglary, criminal mischief, harassment and indecent exposure. Judge Steven O'Neill postponed Victor's sentencing pending completion of background and psychiatric evaluations.
