NJ Woman Killed After Being Struck by Public Works Truck

Investigators say crews were cleaning debris from superstorm Sandy when the woman was hit

Police say a 69-year-old Medford, NJ woman was killed after she was hit by a public works truck in Sea Isle City.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday on the Promenade. Investigators say crews were cleaning debris from superstorm Sandy during the accident. The woman died at the scene, according to investigators.

The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time at the request of her family.

The accident is under investigation.
