Man Wanted in New Jersey Stabbing Captured in Florida

A man wanted in connection with a stabbing in central New Jersey last year has been captured in Florida.

Monmouth County prosecutors tell the Asbury Park Press that 46-year-old Kutame Allah of Neptune was arrested Saturday by U.S. marshals. But further details on the apprehension have not been disclosed.

Allah has since been returned to Monmouth County to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, burglary and a weapons offense stemming from a Nov. 6 stabbing in Long Branch. Prosecutors say Allah fled the state after he allegedly stabbed a person in the chest.

Allah was being held on held on $826,000 bail. It was not known Sunday if he has retained an attorney.
