NJ Medical Pot Rules Stoke Debate

New Jersey lawmakers consider changing Christie administration rules

New Jersey medical marijuana rules are at the center of a new debate in Trenton on Monday.

State lawmakers want to change the rules for implemenation of the medical marijuana program.

Some lawmakers believe the rules laid out by the Christie administration don't follow the intent of the law passed earlier this year.

The administration wants to license two marijuana growers and four distribution centers.  State officials also want to control the potency of the medicinal drug, which no other state has done.

New Jersey will become the 14th state to allow medical marijuana.
