NJ Marine Killed in Afghanistan

A New Jersey community is mourning the loss of a son who fought for our freedom.

Maj. James M. Weis was killed during combat in Helmed providence, Afghanistan on July 22, according to the Department of Defense.

Weis, 37, was from Toms River, N.J.

He was assigned to the Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.
