N.J. Man Shot in Atlantic City

Police say the 21-year-old man was shot after leaving the Tropicana Casino early Sunday morning

A New Jersey man is in stable condition after being shot early Sunday morning in Atlantic City.

Police say that the 21-year-old had just left the Tropicana Casino Resort and was walking down North California Avenue when he was shot once in the back.

Investigators say the man ran to the house of a friend on North Maxwell Avenue, where police were called.

No arrests have been made in the shooting and the motive for the shooting has not yet been determined. Investigators found multiple shell casings near where the man was hit on North California Avenue and recovered a gun near a playground farther up the street.

The wounded man is currently at the Trauma Center at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus.
