NJ Man Busted for Alleged Human Trafficking

Human trafficking charges have been filed against a man who allegedly held a South Carolina woman against her will at a southern New Jersey motel and forced her to perform sex acts with numerous men for money.

Gloucester County prosecutors say 40-year-old Robert Murray of Voorhees was also charged with assault and promoting prostitution. He's being held on $300,000 bail, and it wasn't known Wednesday if he had retained an attorney.

Prosecutors say the 26-year-old woman called Deptford police Tuesday after her alleged captor briefly left the motel room. Murray initially was arrested on active warrants when he returned there later that day.

The woman told investigators she came to the area with other women from North Carolina and eventually was turned over to the man she knew as "Lotto."
