NJ Corporal Returns From Afghanistan

While most headed down to the shore or fired up the grill, family and friends of Eric Renoff celebrated Memorial Day Weekend a bit differently. They welcomed the young corporal home.

Cpl. Renoff returned from Afghanistan to his hometown of Marlton, New Jersey on Sunday.

Eric was on a 9-month deployment aboard the USS Kearsarge. His tour of duty included Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya.

Eric, who is an Air Frame Mechanic for CH-53 helicopters, entered the Marines after graduating from Cherokee High School in 2008.

His grandfather is also a U.S. veteran.

Eric will enter his third year in the Marine Corps and is based out of New River, North Carolina.

Marlton residents waved flags and gave thunderous cheers as Eric greeted the proud attendees of his welcome home event at the Yellow Ribbon Club.
