NJ Call Center Answers Hurricane Health Questions

NJ Health Department opens call center for Irene

New Jersey's Health and Senior Services Department has opened a call center to field questions about health concerns stemming from Hurricane Irene.

Experts will be on hand to provide information about how to prevent and treat mold, dispose of spoiled food and whether the water is safe to drink.

The call center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and during the weekend and Labor Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The DHSS also has online resources including recommendations for cleaning up and tips on preventing illness and injuries after the storm.
