My Father Was My Best Friend: Drew Katz

While the Philadelphia area lost an icon, Drew Katz lost a father.

Drew Katz called his father Lewis "his best friend" and said he was a community champion "in countless ways that were seen and unseen."

Lewis Katz died Saturday in a plane crash. He was the owner of the media company that owns the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com. (In fact, Katz and partner H.F.
