Philadelphia Police Department detectives are investigating an eerie discovery in Fairmont: a mummified body.
Police discovered the mummified remains of a person in an abandoned house.
At 12:38 p.m., the officers reported to the 1400 block of N. 21st Street in response to a call. There, on the third floor of an empty house, they discovered the remains.
Investigators were unable to determine the deceased's sex, age or race.
The investigation is ongoing.
