As police continue to investigate the shooting death of a local teenager, filming for a Hollywood production is set to take place near the scene of the crime.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the back and side in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Monday afternoon. It happened just after 4 p.m. at Kinsey and Ditman Streets. The teen, identified Tuesday morning as Robert Sneed of the 1800 place of Widener Place, was rushed to Temple Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say three people were taken into custody and a gun was recovered after a witness spotted the shooter run into a home near the scene. No charges have been filed.
As the investigation continued, filming for the movie Dead Man Down is scheduled for Tuesday at Global Dye Works on Worth Street near Kinsey, about a block away from where the teen was shot. The filming was already scheduled to take place on that day and location before the teen's death.
The film, which stars Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper and Noomi Rapace is being shot in Philadelphia. Last Wednesday, filming in Center City shut down parts of Walnut and 17th Streets near Rittenhouse Square.
