Movers Accused of Demanding Sex for Low Prices

Two New Jersey moving companies have been temporarily shut down after being accused of engaging a bait and switch scheme and demanding sex from a female customer.

A New Jersey judge has temporarily shut down two moving companies that are accused of engaging in a bait-and-switch scheme.

The state also claims the movers once demanded sex from a female customer in exchange for lowering the price and releasing her property.

The Consumer Affairs Division alleges Progressive Movers of Paterson and ABC Packing Services in Lodi quoted low prices then held customers' belongings until they paid hundreds or thousands of dollars more.

The state acted after receiving 87 complaints from customers.

Company owners Konstantin Egorov and Yevgeniy Piskunin have been ordered to appear in court June 15 for a hearing into whether the court order should be made permanent.
