A Milton man died after a fatal crash involving a stolen motorcycle south of Dover, Delaware State Police said.
The crash occurred Sunday evening when police said the southbound Suzuki G 60 motorcycle hit a Jeep Rubicon in the northbound lane of South State Street. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle, which fell on its side and burst into flames.
Police said the rider, 26-year-old Eric Stubbs was pronounced dead on the scene. Stubbs was wearing a helmet, but police said he was not motorcycle endorsed. Police say the motorcycle was reported stolen from New Castle County Police Department and speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Police said the driver of the Jeep and his passenger were not injured.
