More witnesses are set to take the stand as prosecutors present gruesome details about the alleged abuse and imprisonment of four mentally disabled adults found locked in a filthy Philadelphia basement.
Tuesday will be the second day of testimony at a preliminary hearing for a convicted murderer and three others charged in a violent benefits fraud scheme.
Alleged victim Edwin Sanabria told the court Monday alleged ringleader Linda Ann Weston took over his finances in 2001 and he never again saw his $674 monthly Social Security check.
Prosecutors displayed photos of injuries they say Weston and her alleged accomplices inflicted on Sanabria and three others found locked in a fetid basement in October. Sanabria testified they were given a bucket for a toilet and fed once or twice a day.
