Mom Pleads Guilty to Leaving Kids in Car to Gamble

Police say the Allentown woman left her 5 kids in the car with the windows down, while she went inside casino

A woman has pleaded guilty to leaving five children alone in her SUV while she gambled at an eastern Pennsylvania casino.

Yulissa Troncoso of Allentown pleaded guilty to child endangerment Friday.

Bethlehem police say Troncoso parked her SUV in the Bethlehem Sands Casino Resort last summer and went inside to gamble, leaving her five children in the car with the windows down.

The Express-Times newspaper in Easton says that Sands security noticed the children after about an hour and called police.

The children ranged in age from 10 months to 12 years old.

Troncoso's attorney calls her a good mother who used bad judgment. The children were returned to her care after several days.
