Mom Charged With Hitting 3 Kids Posts Bail

The woman accused of severely injuring three boys after hitting them with her car is out on bail.

Dawn Snell, 42, left a Delco prison Monday after her bail was reduced from $1 million to $100,000. She was only required to post 10 percent, authorities said.

Snell is accused of blowing a red light and hitting three kids as they walked home from school in Upper Darby, Pa. last Wednesday.

Jamal Brunswick, 13, was hit so hard, he was knocked out of his shoes, according to a witness. He was rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in grave condition and was eventually transferred to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Philmon Beyene, 13, and 12-year old Tyler Lowery were also rushed to CHOP with serious injuries. Brunswick and Beyene are still hospitalized.

After her arrest, Snell tearfully apologized for the accident. "I'm sorry, it was an accident," she said. She said she was rushing to get her daughter to SEPTA's 69th Street Terminal when the crash happened.

Authorities believe she tried to flee the scene of the accident, but was stopped after crashing into another car.
