A woman, her baby, and two young students are in the hospital after a school bus accident in Galloway Township.
It happened Monday shortly after 4 p.m. Police say an Integrity Transportation school bus was traveling westbound on Herschel Street. The driver, 52-year-old Charles Laporte of Absecon, allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign. He then struck a Toyota 4 runner traveling southbound on Mannheim Avenue, according to police.
The driver of the Toyota, Joy Daley, 31, of Linwood, was injured along with her 16-month-old child. Police also say five children were on-board the school bus. Two of the kids suffered minor facial and head injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Laporte was issued a summons for failure to stop or yield at an intersection.
